Sunday Services

Our 9am service is more traditional in style and order with printed liturgy and responses.  We love children and provide a time in the service for a Children's Message.  Communion is open to all and is served on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
Our 11:10am service is more contemporary in order and music.  What does that mean?  Instead of printed liturgy, we emphasize music as the means of giving our responses to God.  Children as always welcome and provide a time for the Children's Message.  Communion is open to all and is served on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.

Wednesday Service

From September through May, we offer a mid-week service every Wednesday at 6pm.  Each service includes singing, time for prayer, a brief message and communion.

Fifth Sundays

On the 5th Sunday of a month, we plan a special worship service with a guest speaker or event and the opportunity for the church to fellowship together through a special meal.  Please refer to our calendar and announcements for details on the next 5th Sunday event.

Children in Worship

We encourage families to worship together.  If your little one cries or makes a little noise, that's just fine.  It is good for our whole community to worship God together.  But if your child needs time away, our narthex (the lobby outside the sanctuary) is available where you can still see and hear the worship service.
We also have "Kiddie Packs" on stands outside both worship entrances.  These packs are helpful for little ones who need something to keep them busy.  They include quiet toys, crayons, and much more.  These can be returned to the same stand where they will be refilled for the next week.

NURSERY

Our Nursery is available for both Worship Services and is located just north of the side entrance of the sanctuary.  Any usher or church member can assist you in finding the Nursery.

How Would I Join?

You may join First UMC at any time, in one of several ways.

By Profession of Faith & Baptism

If you have not yet been baptized and would like to confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, Pastor Andy will be glad to discuss this decision with you at your convenience.
If you have been baptized, but you have never had a membership in the United Methodist Church, you may be confirmed as a full member, professing your faith in Jesus Christ.

By Transfer from Another UMC

If you are currently a member of another United Methodist congregation, you may choose to transfer your membership to FUMC.  It is not necessary for you to write your former church.  Our church office will handle the details for you.

By Transfer from Another Denomination

This process is very much like the one listed above.  Since you have already been baptized or confirmed by another Christian denomination, these steps will not be repeated.  You will be asked to respond to the vow taken by all members of the United Methodist Church:  Will you be uphold the ministries of FUMC by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness?
